Science Assessment

Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) - Based on state assessment results, the state determines the progress the schools and district are making toward meeting the 100% proficient level by 2014.

District in Need of Improvement (DINI)/Schools in Need of Improvement (SINI) - Schools and districts that fail to make AYP two years in a row become schools or districts in need of improvement.  Each school or district must draft a plan after analyzing the root causes of student performance concerns in each school/district.
